We are Having A . . .

In case you could not read the ultrasound, we are having a GIRL! I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am also very shocked. Do not buy the intelligender test, it was wrong! The ultrasound tech asked us how much we spent on that test and that was the first clue that she was a girl. She said she was 100 percent sure it was a girl since her legs were open so well. Her heart beat was 149 which is still pretty low for a girl. More importantly, she looks perfectly healthy and my blood pressure was perfect and I am not having blood pressure issues anymore.

When she said it was a girl, I cried because I was so happy just like with Jackson (I really wanted a boy to be our first child). The ultrasound tech had to go get me tissues and I was crying saying my dad was right. God had given my dad so many signs it was a girl. Even after I did that test, he would ask me how Abigail was doing. Also, on the way to the ultrasound appointment this morning, Charlie heard some country song about giving birth to a baby girl and he thought that it might be a sign. Crazy! I cannot wait to go buy bows and dresses! Her name will probably be Abigail Easterlin Wallace and we will call her Abby. In seminary, I did a paper on Abigail who is in Bible and I just knew if I ever have a girl that is what I wanted to name her (my mom's name is Gail so she was partly be named after her). The name Abigail means "father's joy" which is perfect. Ah! I am still shocked writing this. I have not been sick at all and I have felt exactly the same way I did with Jackson. God is so good and gets all the glory!

Congrats Emily! I definitely recognize those three lines on the ultrasound! I will not say that I had a special word from the Lord, but I wondered if you might be having a girl myself :-) Maybe it was just because I love having a girl, and want to share the experience with you. Now, if only arranged marriages were still cool, the Wallace-Finn family would be set: Jackson/Georgia, Baxter/Abby:-) I am glad you are doing so well! Congratulations again!

Thanks so much ladies!

Leah-
Charlie says he is all for arranged marriages. He says to write a contract up and he will sign it...haha! Maybe we can at least set them up on a date when they get older if the arranged marriage thing does not work out...lol.

How very cool! I am so excited for you. Having a girl is a whole new experience after having a boy. Charlie, as a daddy, will change with a girl. It is really fun to watch. With our little man, Daddy Reg was okay about others holding him and letting him be a boy. When we had our princess, it was so different. He was so over protective and hovering. No one was allowed to hold her. (He was like that with all 3 girls.) He still is in a good way. Girls do something to daddies. Congrats and I am so thankful you are doing well and she is doing well.
Blessings!

CONGRATS!! I know you are so excited...and Jackson will be such a protective big brother I'm sure! We find out on the 18th what we're having, and you having a girl is making me wonder! I have felt I was having a boy, haven't been too sick, lower heartrate, etc...so we'll see in a few weeks!
Congratulations again!

Lauren-

Thanks so much. It is great to hear from you! With Jackson I thought I was having a girl at first but then I was pretty sure it was a boy after that. The ultrasound tech said that the Chinese lunar calendar was the most accurate prediction she has seen. I also had a friend who took the old wives test (that asks you like 10 or so questions) and that test was right with all 3 of her babies.

I really thought this baby was a girl until I took the intelligender test that said it was 80 percent accurate or your money back (it turned green very quickly meaning a boy). I had all the signs for a girl like ring test went it a circle over my belly, I like to sleep on my right side, and I have sneezed so much more with this pregnancy than the last one. This babies heart beat was 160 both times and then the last time it was 140 and 149 so I guess it will stabilize later on. However, I was not really sick with this baby but my mom was not really sick with either of her children and she had girls both times (I think however your mom was is a good indication on how you will be with your pregnancy and delivery).

Anyway, that is probably too much info but I think old wifes tales all put together are way more accurate than that intelligender test I took. I cannot wait to hear what your little one is. You are going to be a great mom (our children will be in the same grade...how fun)!
