Jackson's New Bed and Decorations
Jackson is still doing well with his new big boy bed. He really loves his new bed. One morning we found him playing in his room, and some nights he gets in a bad position and we have to go move him away from the wall. We put pillows against the wall so he will not bang his head against the wall all night long and we have some pillows at the bottom of the bed in case he falls off. He does take him a while to get to sleep and so he has been sleeping till 8:00! Yeah for mommy who is very tired again in her third trimester. Yesterday, for the first time he slept longer than an hour and a half for a nap in his new big boy bed....yay!
Last night we went to Walmart to get the last bed items we needed for his room. We got a black dust ruffle that goes perfect with the block "C" and a waterproof mattress pad, and the comforter you see here for $49. I also got this clothes hamper/trash can/cooler at Jewelry Warehouse for $15. So I have totally redone Jackson's room for under $200 (the lamp was on sale at Cracker Barell for $50 and Sandi helped us pay for that for Jackson's b-day). We are going to put a beautiful mirror that was given to us that goes with his furniture on one wall. We are also going to get a frame for the schedules (football and baseball) to put above the bookcase (the bookcase was hand made by Charlie's mom!). Finally, we are going to do Jackson's name in white letters (I will get the letters at Micheal's) and have a football and baseball anchor his letter down like we had in his orginal room (this will go high over his bed). We are trying not to go too overboard with the "Gamecock" theme...but I am very excited about this theme and we will never change it. Any more decorating advice I would love to hear from you! I can get him a gamcock clock for Christmas and every year we can add fun gamecock items. I really want to get Jackson's room situated because not this weekend but next we are going to drop the queen bed off at my parents house for storage and then we will be completely focused on Abigail's room. We are so blessed to have somewhere to store the guest room items! The goal is to have her room done before I am 36 weeks which is in six short weeks!
