Update on Andrew-November 15, 2006

Andrew’s 5 hours of surgery today went really well! The chief surgeon told my father that he is very optimistic about Andrew’s progress with regard to his leg wounds and getting a hold on the infection there. Next week they hope to start closing up his wounds. Andrew still has a fever (meaning infection). Since the wounds appear to be fairly infection-free, they will be conducting a CT scan this evening to look for a possible other source of the infection. Please pray that they will be able to locate the source of the infection on his body. Once he is able to fight the infection, we should see an improvement in his kidneys. Apparently, the antibiotics and other medications he is on for his infection are more of a hindrance rather than help to his kidney improvement. So, there are so many details at play here. We are so thankful for all of his wonderful surgeons. Please lift them up as they make critical decisions daily. We appreciate so much all of your prayers!
