Abigail's 4 Month Stats

Weight: 15 pounds 1 oz (60%)
Height: 26 inches (89%)
Head: 42 1/2 cm (79%)

We had to wait to have her 4 month check up till the day she turned 5 months old because the church changed their insurance. Everything looks great with her. She is so much stronger on her core than Jackson because she has been sleeping on stomach since like 3 months old. She actually tries to crawl some days. Jackson also weighed 15 pounds at his 4 month check up as well. I am sure she will not be in this high of a percentile next month when she has her 6 month shots. The doctor did say that her bottom gum were swollen and that she is teething.

I might be trying cloth diapers on Abigail. I will hopefully have a post soon about it. It is just crazy having two in diapers. I will of course have regular diapers for when she is in nursery situations.

Hi!

I've been keeping up with your blog for a few months now! Are your daughter's stats based on her being 5 months? Or based on compared to other 4 month olds?

My son is about to have his 4 month appointment soon, so I was just wondering.

Thanks!

P.S. I noticed a time bar on the blog at the bottom. Are you expecting again?

Sam-

It is great to hear from you! Her stats are based on her being 4 months old...compared to other 4 month olds. Is this your first baby? I will have to check out your blog! I am not expecting again. I could not figure out how to delete it from Abigail's pregnancy but I finally figured it out today. We would like another baby but I would like to space them out more like 3 years (it would be great if they were both out of diapers).

Leah-I am doing tons of research on cloth diapers right now. My friend says,

"Now, here's what I've done. I started off (up until about 3 months) using prefolds and covers that I bought from www.greenmountaindiapers.com. FYI, the prefolds you get at Target/BRU/etc are NOT the same quality as these. Don't waste money on those! Prefolds are the 'old-fashioned' diapers...but they're really not hard to use or clean, they're cheap, I'd say they're the most universally-good fitting diaper. They do involve an extra "step" (you put on the prefold, then you put on the cover), but honestly, I'm about to buy some more (they are sized, so he's grown out of the ones I have) because they're really just good workhorses. If you decide to use prefolds, I would highly suggest trying Thirsties covers."

So all I know is that I might try these green mountain diapers and probably need liners for them. I am still trying to figure some of it before I write a blog post about it. Do you have friend that you could email who use cloth diapers? Do you know anything about them? Jackson still has another 6 months or so till he will be trained and I cannot keep on buying two different sets of diapers. It is crazy.
